Special considerations concerning data about children and young people.
The Torbay Bookkeeping Practice will never include (in any record keeping or data processing) a child’s name, address or any other data which could identify the child or young person. Instead an arbitrary code or other reference will be used with which it would be impossible to identify the individual concerned. The practice also doesn’t record or process any sensitive data about a child or young person in the course of bookkeeping and accountancy tasks.

Special considerations concerning data about vulnerable adults.
The Torbay Bookkeeping Practice occasionally provides services for Vulnerable Adults (for example, a client with Learning Disability who need to complete a tax return). When this occurs, additional security and data-privacy measures are taken when processing personal and financial data. Specifically, when communicating with support services for such clients, the Practice uses the clients initials only when referring to them in written communications such as emails, and avoids sending any electronic information at all which contains sensitive data because of the vulnerability of these clients.
